Frederick Learey, ASLA, Owner and President

Frederick Learey purchased Garden Design Inc. from Joanne Kostecky in the spring of 2014. He had worked with Joanne and Garden Design as a design/sales associate ten years earlier. In 2004, Frederick left Garden Design to work with two of the best landscape design and construction companies in the Philadelphia region. There he expanded his design skills, sharpened his construction knowledge and honed his business management ability. When Joanne decided to sell Garden Design, Frederick was her first choice of someone who could carry the company forward while maintaining excellence in landscape design, construction and customer service.

Over 30 years, Frederick has designed and built award winning landscapes from Georgia to California, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Those diverse geographies expanded his landscape design palette and skill set.joanne kostecky garden design about He originally studied economics and physics at Franklin & Marshall College, but ultimately decided to combine those interests with his artistic side and complete a degree in Landscape Architecture. Frederick was awarded the American Society of Landscape Architects Highest Honor Award for work completed in that degree. Frederick has long practiced in Pennsylvania on a diverse range of residential and commercial landscape projects.
