As more people choose to upgrade their landscaping from boring lawns and tired ornamental plants to sustainable and vibrant native plant gardens, they are discovering they might need a little design help along the way. Tree of Life Native Plant Nursery has put together a network of independent professional designers who will meet with you here at our nursery (33201 Ortega Highway, San Juan Capistrano, CA) for a short design consultation on Saturdays throughout the year.

Bring information with you about your site and the "Designer in Residence" will provide 1/2 hour design consultations for the modest fee of $45.00. Appointments can be booked online or a few walk-in appointments may be booked at the nursery on the day of consultation, first come first serve. At the end of the design consultation, participants receive a voucher for 10% off of their next purchase of plants. Recently, both the Santa Margarita Water District (SMWD) and the City of San Clemente Water Districts also offer a design assistance rebate of $30 to their customers. The designers who are participating in this program have already participated at many Tree of Life events and workshops, and each one is from a different area in Southern California, ranging from San Diego to Los Angeles. These designers are independent business owners who will represent their own landscaping design services.
